Vivi Grace at 2 months

Our sweet girl is now two months old. I can hardly believe that it was 8 weeks ago today that our social worker called with the good (um GREAT!) news!

She is growing like a weed! We haven't weighed her in the last 2 weeks, but at 6 weeks she was already 10.2 pounds. She now has the cutest chubby cheeks and double chin!! I cannot wait to hear what her Dr says at her 2 week check up next Monday.

She is all but done with the colic (AMEN!) and has still been sleeping 5-6 hours at night. We seem to have a routine. I stay up and give her the last feeding at night (or AM! LOL!) and Mark gives her a bottle before he leaves for work, allowing Lucy and I a chance to sleep in a bit.

This girl LOVES her baths! Put her in the warm water and she smiles, giggles and kicks everytime, no matter how tired she may be.

We still cuddle every evening/night, and I have been accussed on more than one occassion of spoiling the little bugger. Um, I DON'T THINK SO! LOL!

Lucy continues to rock the big sister thing, and has shown NO SIGNS of jealousy. I am so proud of her !! If a diaper needs changed, she is right there to help, if Vivi is fussing, she plugs the binky in before I can make a move! And, she is SOO proud of herself!

I am sorry if you think I am sugar coating things...I really am not. If I could have 20 more of Vivi, I would....... If we knew Lucy would have handled it this well (honestly, we were worried!) we would have been on the next adoption sooner!! God has truly blessed us with the BEST baby and BIG SISTER, and to HIM we are eternally grateful!

I'm so happy for you, Jill. Vivi is just precious. There's no such thing as too much spoiling when it comes to a baby!! Yippee on the sleep routine too! That's just fantastic.

I LOVE your new page header, and these photos are gorgeous!! How is it possible that she's two months old already?

Sometimes I feel like people might think I'm sugar coating things when I talk about life with Charlie too, but no...it's really that good! :)

So glad Lucy is loving being a big sister!! I can't wait until Charlie gets to be a big brother too, and because of your words...maybe I'll convince Michael to jump on that train a little sooner. :) I think it's something all parents must worry about, isn't it?...whether or not you can possibly love another child as much as you love your first?

SO glad things are going well for all of you, yours is truly a beautiful family if I ever saw one!!

She is getting so big and more adorable every day. And I agree with the other commenters, you canot spoil a baby, they need it. Toddlers on the other hand, lol. BTW, we watched the Ellen show on YouTube, my darling Lolo would never let me watch anything but WOnder Pets or Disney Channel

Vivi Grace is simply beautiful! I am also afraid people will roll their eyes and think I am exaggerating when I say how good my 6-month old is. She never cries and is the most joyful baby I have ever seen. She smiles, coos, dances and babbles all day long and is just as happy sitting on her bouncer and watching her siblings play, being held or when her siblings forget she is not a doll! When it is time for her to sleep, all she wants is for you to put her down in her crib (even when wide awake), leave the room and let her be! The only time she used to cry was when we would try to rock her to sleep! I can’t believe just how much I am able to accomplish around the house with an infant in tow.

I am not sure if it is just me, but the resemblance between my youngest and Vivi is eerie! Maybe I see the resemblance because I think Vivi is just gorgeous - just like my baby :)! I will email you a picture so that you can see what Vivi will look like at six months old!

Sure, I'll join a Jiangxi sib finder group. Do you have a link handy?

Also, I heard you hooked Dawn up with a fancy new blog look. Are these services you hire out, because I'm interested. We're starting adoption #2 and "waiting for Zoe" no longer applies.

Love your cute girls!

Jill, I am so glad to hear that things are going so very well. We are praying for the same thing, when it finally does happen for us. Honestly, any transition will probably be easier than the first time around.

She is SO precious, love her smile. What joy! So happy she has been an easy baby. My George was pretty colicky so that definately puts a kink in things. :) He's outgrown it now and a real peach and fun to see Magnolia be a big sister like Lucy. Such blessings, aren't they?! I will look forward to coming back and seeing more of Miss Vivi, she's beautiful.

Just popping in after taking a break (for a good cause - lol)

Oh, what a beautiful baby girl she is. Just an adorable bundle of love. And how wonderful that Lucy has embraced it so well. (Still waiting to say that myself - but I have hope.)

You have been blessed indeed.
