Adoption news........

Got your attention didn't I................
I talked to our agency today. Our profile was given to a potential birthmom. Yep, that's all I know. Usually they give out 3-4 at a time. I know that counting us, they only have 6 families open to race. This could mean nothing, so I am really not getting my hopes up. REALLY...I am not. Just some new news for us. Our profile has only been activated for 7 weeks, but between losing our money to Commonwealth (crooks!) and losing money to the Nepal program (our fault for switching) we really have been on this "journey" since last February. I do know that God has his hand in everything, so it is what it is....
Ahhhhh, the joys of adopting!

Very excited. The first one was the hardest for me. Knowing and waiting and then not being chosen. But I don't want to dash your hope.

Happy waiting!!

Stay strong!! I have many friends going through the process. It has been long and drawn out. Why does it have to be so easy to abondon (in some cases) a child, but you have to move mountains with an act of GOD to pick them up and "bring them home"? Crazy!! Have a good day!

Yay!! I hope it's you!! But if not, there will be a baby out there meant for you! But still, I hope this baby is yours!!!!

How exciting! Praying for you! I know domestic adoptions are nerve-racking (we did one!), well..take that back..ADOPTION is nerve racking!

Yet, isn't it awesome to have the peace of knowing that God is in control? I know that got me through many hard days during out wait.

Jill! That is so exciting! Can't wait to follow along and see what God does....by the way, Lucy is so beautiful. I've been looking back at your posts over the holidays and she is just STUNNING. And I really enjoyed your story of how God blessed you through your "Christmas Angel"...how cool.

Praying!! I always wanted an update on our profile but I HATED knowing we were being shown...drove me absolutely crazy! Our first daughter's bmom saw our file when she was 5.5 months pregnant. Our agency highly encouraged her to wait until she was 7 months to decide on a family. Talk about agonizing for us but what an amazing blessing when 'the call' finally came :) Hang in there...God knows exactly where your baby is and I promise you...he'll come when you least expect it...kind of like our little "I"...we had 1.5 days notice with that peanut...LOL!

HI I am an adoptive mommy of 2 and I am so excited to meet another adoptive mommy. I never realised how many people are adopting around the world until i started blogging. I live in South Africa and here it is not common for people to adopt, especially cross race adoption! So at times I feel like no one understands, but since I have been blogging I have come across so many blogs by adoptive moms with different race children, it has really encouraged me so much.
Your daughter is stunning and I cant wait to see the next little one! Boys are great fun I have 2 and now i am in desperate need of a daughter!!!!!!! I am out numbered 3 to 1. I will be praying for you adoption.
God Bless
Vashti

Thanks for finding our blog. I was happy to see that you are "following". I'll add yours to my Bloglines.

I am with you on the joys of adopting. Sounds like your adoption is making more progress than mine though. Exciting!

How very exciting for you! I totally understand the not wanting to get excited too soon, but hey cut yourself a little slack and enjoy the moment of dreaming that passes your heart once in a while! It's the dreams that keep us from supressing too deep! LOL,
sound wise don't I? But it's true.

So you were originally in the process of adopting from Nepal? My pastor just came back from there a while back and there are a few heading back there in a few weeks. He says it is quite a place!
Thanks for the comment on my blog....I'll see if I can get a face shot on there with the new do sometime in the not so distant future.
Best wishes for 2009!
Blessings!
